Homemade Bisquick is a premade baking mix commonly used to make pancakes, biscuits, and other baked goods. Making your own Bisquick gives you control over the ingredients, excluding any additives often found in pre-packaged mixes.
Ingredients:
- 6 cups (750g) all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 cup (205g) chilled and cubed shortening
Instructions:
1. In the bowl of a food processor, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Pulse together to mix.
2. With the food processor on low speed, gradually add the shortening, cube by cube, until you have a soft, grainy mixture.
